Details: RIKON #50-272 BELT SANDER / BUFFER 2” X 72” is extremely versatile for handling a variety of sanding, grinding, shaping, sharpening, buffing and polishing projects. Solidly made of all-steel construction, this 1 HP machine features an adjustable sanding belt arm for mounting 2” x 72” abrasive belts, and a 8” long 1” diameter spindle for mounting your flap sanders, pneumatic sanders or buffing wheels. The 2” x 72” extra- long abrasive belt is cool-running and can be used with the platen and adjustable angle tool rest for accurate sanding/shaping/grinding use. The belt arm also rotates and can be set at any angle from 0-90-0 degrees! Working on the 8” rubber-faced drive wheelor above the platen also allows for extra working flexibility when shaping projects. The Spring-loaded top idler wheel makes tracking belts, and the changing of belts a fast and simple task. This Belt Sander & Buffer will be a faithful addition to any workshop to tackle sanding jobs, grinding to sharpening tools or making knives. FEATURES Five year warranty Powerful 1HP motor is 110 volts, 14 amps, but can be changed to operate at 220 volts, 7 amps. Made of rugged, all-steel components for extra strength and reliability. Large handles and knobs make adjustments easy and secure. Machine takes the most popular 2” x 72” belts or adjusts for using special 2” x 76” belts. Belt arm adjusts 180 degrees, from a forward horizontal position, to 90 degrees upward, to laying backwards horizontally. This allows full user access to working on the drive wheel, with the tool rest and platen, or free shaping on the belt. 10-3/8” x 2” steel platen gives ample rear belt support for sanding flat edges or surfaces - wood, plastics or metals. 5-1/2” x 2” flat tool rest adjusts to most any angle for positioning workpieces accurately to the belt. 8” long 1” diameter spindle will take optional sanding flap wheels, pneumatic sleeves, or buffing wheels for added shaping and finishing of projects.
